United Home Health Services has been awarded MPRO’S 2007 Michigan Award of Excellence
United Home Health Services has been awarded MPRO’S 2007 Michigan Award of Excellence for Improving Care in the Home Health Setting for improvement in transferring, which is a measurement of the percentage of patients who get better at getting in and out of bed. This acknowledges the staff of UHHS for embracing quality improvement initiatives that work to improve the quality, safety, and delivery of patient care.
Led by Linda Mlynarczyk, RN, BSN and Marlene Hamme, RN, MSN, a multidisciplinary team was established. “We used nationally recognized standards of care to ensure that consistent care and evidenced-based medicine and protocols were carried out to realize notable improvements in care”, notes Marlene. “Our combined efforts produced better outcomes in patient care. We are proud of the advancements being made at United and of this prestigious award.” Thank you to MPRO, Michigan’s Quality Improvement Organization, for recognizing our efforts!
